AP Overwater, Strijen, The Netherlands is a superstar at the overnight long distance races.
One of the best dutch long distance fanciers over the last ten years!
And it is no secret that the Dutch overnight long distance fanciers and their pigeons are the best in the world. Selection and specialization are the key to the success!
Some examples:
In 1995 the fastest “Serie 3” at the National Pau race
In 1997 the fastest “Serie 3” at the National St.Vincent race
In 1999 the fastest “Serie 2” and “Serie 5” at the International Barcelona race (with 5 hens in competition)
His fanciership and the extremely good Overwater strain with the best pigeons at the breeding loft will be a guarantee for new success!
AP. Overwater built up his strain with children of the stock pigeons of two famous lofts: Peter vd Eijnden and Batenburg and Son. Both lofts were based at the Jan Aarden pigeons. Peter vd Eijnden foundation pigeon was a son of the famous “131”of Jan de Weert. Maybe the best Aarden based breeding and racing hen that ever lived?!
The Batenburg foundation pigeons “Witbuik”and his son the “Bonte Kweker” were Aarden/Bakker Barendregt pigeons.
Bij the method of cross breeding AP Overwater created a new type of long distance pigeon and his own strain. Succesfull at his own loft but also at the loft of many other fanciers.
2001: A fantastic racing season with excellent results!
In the very strong long distance club Attractie Hoekse Waard he won two of the most prestigious races: Barcelona (14th price in the National race) and Perpignan. Some results:

Attractie: 2, 7, 12, 20,24,33,36,38 etc
Afd 5: 21,29,34,48 etc against 929 duiven
National: 91 (10/ 20)
- Perpignan 1020 KM
Attractie: 1, 3, 4, 19, 20
Afd 5: 8, 12, 24
National: 79, 97
- Bergerac 820 KM
With 2 arrivals in the middle of the night at 2.20 and 2.29 h. an absolute sensationl! At the National level the 28 and 29 prize against 12.870 pigeons.
Two Ace Pigeons overnight long distance 2001:
Samenspel 3 (Hoekse Waard en omstreken) the 1st Ace Pigeon Extreme Long Distance and Long Distance. An excellent result.
In the most prestigious Dutch Long Distance Club the FBZ 2nd and 4th Ace Pigeon!
The main foundation pigeons
Foundation Pigeon A: De Dure , NL92-2905050: a full son of the famous Batenburg couple"Bonte Kweker" van Batenburg X de "Braakhuis duivin" See nr 1. "De Dure"is a full brother of the "Super-05", the famous champ. of Batenburg!
Foundation Pigeon B: "De Perpignan 196 Duivin" , NL88-1814196: a full daughter of the famous Batnburg Pigeons "Bonte Kweker X de Lourdes duivin". See nr 2.
She was also a famous racer and won the 3rd Int.Pau Hens, 7th Int.Pau and 7th Nat.Pau but also the 21st Nat.Perpignan!
Foundation Pigeon C: De "074" duivin duivin NL91-2232074: a full daughter of the Perpignan duivin 196.
Like her mother "De 074-duivin" was a topracer. She won 5 times within the 1st 100 at a National Overnight long distance race.
She is mother of a lot of supercracks, fe the famous racer "Pietje Pau": a real superstar at the National Pau race (1020 Km, where only the best dutch and international marathon pigeons compete!). He won the 93rd Nat.Pau 1998, a 84th Nat.Pau 1999 and a 99th Nat.Pau 2000 against at average 2500 pigeons.
Foundation Pigeon C: De "010"De NL88-2966010 via Peter vd Eijnden.
Inbred to the famous "131" of Jan de Weert! Probably the best Aarden racing and breeding hen taht ever lived?! De "010" is very important for the Overwater Strain!
AP Overwater: also an international long distance Superstar
AP Overwater prefers the international long distance races like Perpignan, Marseille, Barcelona. His pigeons are extremely suited for these races. You want an example:

A son from "De Muller cock- 158". These cock is a gift from his good friend Henny Schaap from Dongen
The mother of the "Fiere" is a full daughter of the "Super-05" of Batenburg
" De Fiere" won the 11th price Nat.Bordeaux ZLU.
The "Muller cock-158" is a new star at the breeding loft! Within 2 years cross breeded with his own strain, these cock became father of 3 topracers: "De Fiere"and the both "Bergerac night flyers" 28th and 29th National.
De Blauwe Barcelona-51 NL96-1215651. Direct Jo Lardenoye, Amby, former winner of Nat. Barcelona and Nat. Marseille. These “Blauwe 51” won: 14th price nat. Barcelona ‘01 against 7.195 p., 299th nat. Barcelona ‘00 against 7.568 p., 771th nat. Barcelona ‘99. 8.140 p. and became the 12th Barcelona Acepigeon over the last 3-years!
